Halloween 2008!
Wow! How was I going to top 2007s "An Experiment in Reanimation?" THINK BIG!
Not only did I take it to the next step by automating events in the garage, but I extended the "tour" into, and through, the house!
I also had a nice touch in the house - my baby! When people walked into my kitchen, I faced them so that they didn't see my baby until I wanted them to. I made conversation, telling my visitors that I was the chef and nanny to the skeleton family in the dining room. I'd then introduce the baby and turn around. My hand was inside the baby, and I could move its head and lips, giving kids a stare-down and looking at parents and having it say "Mama?" or "Dada?" Yes, I have some experience as a ventriloquist from years ago.
Another big reason for automating was to minimize the number of workers needed. The fact is, you can't count on people. Automating got me down to one helper - the man being electrocuted. Thanks go out to Don for being electrocuted about every five minutes for three hours on Halloween and then another couple of hours during the party!
Here's a diagram of the walk-through, with description.
Here's a slideshow from the party.
